Founded by George and Sydney Fisch, The SCUBA Connection opened their doors in March of 1996.  Since that time, sons Jason and Wayne have become part of The SCUBA Connection, making it a family focused business.   Our mission is to provide our customers with a full service dive facility.  Regardless of your training level and diving experience (recreational or technical), we can meet your needs. 

In our first eight years, we had already become the top training facilities in the northeast region of the US.  We have been ranked by the members of DEMA (Dealers and Equipment Manufacturers Association) as one of the top ten premiere dive centers in the United States.  The SCUBA Connection has been recognized by PADI in their Undersea Journal and Sport Diver magazine for our commitment to promote diving and focus on our community.  Additionally, The SCUBA Connection was awarded by the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office the "The Procesutor's Citizenship Award in recognition and appreciation for their assistance to Law Enforcement in Somerset County and for providing training to the members of the Somerset County Dive Rescue Team".

As a Five Star PADI IDC (Instructor Development Center) Dive Center, we offer PADI certification-training courses for the beginner through Master Diver.  Our PADI specialty diving courses are designed to meet the varied interests of our customers, from Boat Diver through Underwater Videographer and Wreck Diver (see our Training section of this website for the complete listing).   Looking for a career as a PADI dive professional, we offer PADI's Divemaster through all instructor level courses.  We have two full-time Course Directors (George and Jason Fisch), Master Instructor - Wayne Fisch and IDC Staff Instructor - Sydney Fisch on staff, along with several other IDC Staff Instructors to facilitate our Professional training programs.  And for those looking for adventure in the technical diving realm, we also offer DSAT's technical training in Apprentice Deep Tec, Deep Tec, TriMix, Gas Blenders, Tri-mix Blenders, and the Instructor training for these respective courses taught by DSAT Instructor Trainer Jason Fisch.
